Fjaran event space

Fjaran/Valhöll is open for dining guests every day from 11:30 PM.

The house was built in 1841 and is the second-oldest building in Hafnarfjörður. It seats around 35 guests on the ground floor, where you’ll also find a cozy corner sofa and a high table with stools.

Upstairs, there is a welcoming lounge along with a warm, intimate adjoining room that seats 18 guests.

There is indoor access from both floors to Fjörugarðurinn, allowing guests of Fjaran/Valhöll to enjoy everything Fjörugarðurinn has to offer, or to remain in a more private, enclosed setting.

Fjaran/Valhöll is an elegant restaurant, where the interior and furnishings are crafted from hundred-year-old snuff and wine barrels.

The walls on the ground floor are decorated with paintings of Hafnarfjörður and scenes of the gods’ feast, painted directly onto the walls by artists Lukas Gucio Gordon and Elísa Ósk Viðarsdóttir.

A cozy and distinctive restaurant, well worth visiting again and again.

Freyjuhof event space

Freyjuhof is an exceptionally elegant and cozy event venue. The ceilings are impressively high, and the walls and interior are adorned with intricate wood carvings and beautiful decorative pieces. A stunning bar, finely carved, is a striking feature of the hall.

Candlelight and ambient lighting create a wonderfully warm atmosphere.

The venue seats around 66 guests for dining, but it can also be combined with the entire upper floor for larger events, accommodating up to 186 seated guests in total.

A varied group menu is available, including seasonal offerings such as Christmas buffets and traditional Þorrablót feasts, depending on the occasion.

The venue is ideal for annual parties, weddings, birthdays, Christmas buffets, and Þorrablót celebrations.

It has also been a popular choice among companies and tour operators.

Tunna, second floor

Tunna accommodates up to 80-90 guests. The interior and wall decorations create a very warm and cozy atmosphere. Within the space is Freyjuhof, which seats 60 guests.
