This time we honor the memory of Gunnar Christiansen on Faroe days. As many of you might know he was one of the initiator of the cooperation between the Faroe islands and Fjörukráin that we still hold dear and honour.
Protectors of the Faroe days will be Magni Arge and Steinn Lárusson
Birgir Enni will be here to insure that there will be an authentic Faroe feast for all our guests. He will bring a group of top Faroese musicians and artists.
Birgir will ensure that we can offer Faroese specialties such as his famous fish soup that everyone who comes to Faroe islands and sails with him on Norðlysið gets served.
He will bring with him his famous horse mussel that he dives after and prepares according to his special recipe. We will offer a Faroese menu that Birgir has put together for us.
Those that will participate in this year’s Faroe days are:
Birgir Enni, who takes care of the menu as well as having a photo exhibition with pictures from the Faroe islands.
The singing duet with Eydun Asason and Neil Joensen and with them they have Runi Höjgaard.
The artist Janus á Húsagarði will have a display of his work.
From Friday the 5th of March until Sunday the 7th of March we will offer a Faroese menu and live entertainment.
We expect a lot of Faroese guests to come both those living in Iceland and who will come here from the Faroes to participate, this is an excellent opportunity to come and celebrate with our good friends from the Faroe islands and enjoy a good evening of food drink and dance just as if one where in the Faroe islands.
